Colorado Free Radio Group is the Brain Child of John Garza, a professional musican of over 40 years and a computer nerd of 25 years. Inspired by the internet radio station Whole Wheat Radio, John sought to create an internet radio station that presents the finest in Independent Artists from all over the world so first there was Colorado Free Radio Durango.

Since it's inception CFR has grown into several projects, next there came Colorado Free Radio Old Time Radio. Remembering nights on the road when OTR would come over the AM airwaves and never being able to hear an entire show because of AM radio drift, and because of his love for Old Time Radio  John decided to create and OTR station that would present not only Radio Shows but historical broadcasts, commercials and news. Since it's creation CFROTR has become one of the largest repoisitories of OTR on the internet.

As the stations grew a need for a quick and easier way for people to enjoy the songs and radio shows being presented by CFR and CFROTR became evident and necessary so the inceptions of the Blog/Casts came about. Two Blogcasts were created bringing updated information about the stations as well as podcasts presenting shows that highlight the best of and most requested music and radio shows on the stations.

Colorado Free Radio OTR Podcast is hosted by Johnny Night, and Colorado Free Radio Durango Podcast is hosted by Johnny G Note. The next creation was  Colorado Free Radio Talk a podcast hosted by Free D People. Branching out to the medium of video CFR created a YouTube sight to present musicians videos that are on the station in one place and now there is Colorado Free Radio TV hosted by World TV a sight dedicated to the musicians on our station.

With all of these projects and more to come the need for a parent or umberella organization became apparent snd so now there is Colorado Free Radio Group.
